In November of 2013 I felt God wanted me to start writing a journal.
I have never been fond of diaries or journals. People would give them to me for Christmas because girls are supposed to like that kind of thing. I’d write in it for a week and then it would find it’s way into the back of a drawer. But when God has a request I tend to pay attention, and I was amazed at what He did when I obeyed.
Every day I come before Him, blank page and pen in one hand, coffee in the other, and not much in my brain in the early morning. And every day He pours out His words onto the page. His words comfort. And His words bless. His words are priceless. I will share those words in upcoming posts.
I have numbered them as they were written, since there is a continuity to it, and also provided the date. One day they will be a book. But for now I will share them here in the hopes that they will comfort you and bless you as much as they have me.
(btw, sometimes He seems to say two things at once so I write down both with brackets around one. After all, who am I to edit God? Also, early on I didn’t realize these would be a book one day and I missed a few days so I have used photography for those. Hopefully it will speak to you as well.)
“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls, who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had and bought it.”
